Foundation Mission

The Mission of the Florida Society of Health-System Pharmacists Research and Education Foundation, Inc (Foundation) is:

to support the Mission and Goals of the Florida Society of Health-System Pharmacists (FSHP).
to serve the health care consumers of the State of Florida in their medication related issues by promoting safe and effective use of drug therapy in maintaining quality of life expectations.
to provide a comprehensive mentoring marketplace for Florida pharmacy students, residents, technicians and established practitioners seeking to enhance or learn new skills.

Proceeds from all fundraisers go to the FSHP Foundation to support student programming and scholarships, resident research and the FSHP Fellow award.

50/50 Raffle

Prize

The total sum of the money donated will be split, 50% to the winner and 50% to the Foundation. The more donations, the larger the pot!

How To Enter

Make a donation of $50* or more to be entered into the raffle.

Drawing will happen during the FSHP Annual Meeting on Saturday, August 08, 2026

This is a virtual raffle, which means anyone 18 and older can buy raffle tickets online for a chance to win. You do not have to be a FSHP member or attend the Annual Meeting to participate and win.

*NOTE: Donations under $50 are appreciated but do not include entry into the raffle drawing.

Toss a ring around a bottle and win that bottle!

All bottles not won by the end of the event are raffled off in bundles. Spend $20 or more on rings to be entered in the wine raffle.

How To Enter

Visit the Wine Toss booth in the Exhibit Hall at the FSHP Annual Meeting during lunch on Friday and Saturday to try your skill/luck.

Paul Magalian Student Scholarship

Purpose

Selection Criteria

All applicants must be scheduled to graduate in 2027 from any College or School of Pharmacy.
Applicants should have worked or volunteered in a hospital pharmacy or other health-system pharmacy, prior to, or while attending pharmacy school.
Applicants should be a member of the Florida Society of Health-System Pharmacists

The qualifications of the candidate should be supported by evidence of his/her outstanding accomplishments as judged by the following professional activities:

Overall Grade Point Average (G.P.A.): The individual should demonstrate high academic achievement.
Professional Affiliations: The nominee should be active in community and/or professional organizations.
- The nominee should have served as an elected officer and/or held a leadership role of a student national, state, regional or local pharmacy organization chapter.
- The nominee should have served as a member of a committee, council, board, advisory group, task force or ad hoc group of an institution, pharmacy organization and/or community organizations.
Pharmacy Practice: The nominee should demonstrate an interest in hospital or health-system pharmacy practice. Please submit your short-term and long-term goals in 25-100 words.
Professional and/or Community Service: The nominee should demonstrate an involvement in community or professional services (e.g., Big Brother, Big Sister, volunteer organizations, etc.)

References (Instructor, Employer, or Personal): Please attach 2 letters of recommendation.

Stuart Ulrich Student Service Scholarship

Purpose

Selection Criteria

All applicants must be scheduled to graduate in 2027 from any College or School of Pharmacy.
Applicants should be a member of the Florida Society of Health-System Pharmacists.
The nominee should have served as an elected officer and/or held a leadership role of a student national, state, regional or local ASHP/FSHP pharmacy organization chapter.
The nominee should have served as a member of an FSHP committee, council, board, advisory group, task force or ad hoc group of an institution, pharmacy organization and/or community organizations.

Please Note

The candidate should be nominated by Officers of the Student Chapter and submitted by the Faculty Advisor.
Only ONE Candidate per Student Chapter.
Please submit the following.

Nominations will only be accepted from the Student Chapter Faculty Advisor. Please submit a copy of student’s CV along with the following items:

A letter of reference signed by the Faculty Advisor
A 500-word (or less) paragraph from the candidate on why service is important to the profession. (Note grammar and spelling will be evaluated.)
Evidence of the roles served as an elected officer and/or a leadership role of a student national, state, regional or local ASHP/FSHP pharmacy organization chapter.
Evidence of membership on an FSHP committee, council, board, advisory group, task force or ad hoc group of an institution, pharmacy organization and/or community organizations.

FSHP Fellowship

Purpose

Selection

Applicants must meet the criteria below. Applicants must earn a minimum of 500 points overall with at least 160 points coming from the “sustained contributions to FSHP” category. A subcommittee of the Professional Affairs Council will review eligible applications and provide a recommendation to the FSHP Foundation Board of Directors who have the authority to grant or deny fellowship status. Appeals may be made directly to the Chair of the FSHP Foundation. Each year, the number of fellowships awarded will be determined by the FSHP Foundation Board of Directors.

Individuals who have achieved FFSHP status have successfully demonstrated sustained commitment or contributions to excellence in pharmacy practice for 10 years or more, demonstrated active involvement and leadership in FSHP, and have made significant contributions to the Society and the profession of pharmacy.

FRC | Florida Residency Conference

The Florida Residency Conference (FRC) provides an opportunity for pharmacy residents, both PGY1 and PGY2, to formally present their original research to colleagues, while enjoying fellowship, and discussing important issues confronting pharmacy practice.

The conference offers a unique and welcoming environment for participants to exchange information and ideas with fellow residents and preceptors throughout Florida.
